When St Birinus School built its new science block, the Facilities Manager, Barry Greenaway, turned to us for help with designing, manufacturing and installing signs that would be relevant as well as eye-catching and durable.
We designed three large signs for the main entrance area, which combined high impact scientific imagery with portraits of renowned Chemists, Physicists and Biologists which made the signs great to look at as well as being educational.
We also designed and produced room signs featuring images of various pieces of scientific equipment. The bright colours we selected bring energy to the block whilst ensuring that the school’s own specific shade of green is included. This made the signs points of interest as well as being informative and on brand.
Due to the location of the room signs and high volume of traffic passing in and out of the classrooms, Barry was concerned that the edges of the signs may get picked at, or knocked. To combat this we arranged for the graphics to be printed digitally and applied to the back of the panel which protects the signs from any damage and they’re still looking good!
