Having gone through the process of re-designing the branding for its Customer Service Centre at Templars Square in Cowley, Oxford City Council was looking for a cost effective way of translating the designs into functioning signage.
The brief included the provision of a new fascia, new window and wall graphics, and new acrylic panel signs. With a large number of requirements in a busy shopping centre location, performance and durability was important so we conducted a site visit to allow us to establish the most cost effective materials to meet the demands of an area with high volumes of pedestrian traffic.
With the managers of the shopping centre not wishing to bring disruption to businesses or shoppers during normal opening hours, we arranged to fit overnight once all of the shops had closed. This meant that the Oxford City Council Customer Service team came to work the next day to find a fresh new look designed to reflect their commitment to engage and serve local citizens.
