Wooden Signs for Worton Park

Worton Park is a diversified, organic working farm, livery stables, office park and event venue set in the small hamlet of Worton, just five miles outside of Oxford. Its unique rural environment offers a tranquil setting for office accommodation, functions and holiday lets, complete with poolside café.

At Worton Park the commercial and rural worlds co-exist in an environment conducive to productivity and environmental harmony.

Kingdom Signs had already been involved in working with Worton Park supplying metal sign systems, suitable for the more industrial entrance off the A40.

However, when the current wayfinding signage system within the park needed updating the Estate Manager, Adam Hulewicz, contacted Kingdom Signs to discuss his vision for their new signs.

Adam said “We are looking to change the signs on our business park, which is rural with other activities such as Livery, Cottage Lets and Wedding venue so we would be looking for something that fits with this setting. Can you help?”

Ros, from Kingdom Signs, met with Adam who emphasised his requirement for a natural wood system that would be attractive and durable to blend with the natural surroundings and be suitable for both free standing and wall mounting.

After the site meeting Kingdom Signs produced a visual representation of the content for the signs which would incorporate printed panels with natural thick wooden posts.

Working in conjunction with a local wood merchant Worton Park were provided with samples of varying grades of wood along with different post top finishes. Printed colour samples were also supplied to enable them to choose the colour scheme that matched their corporate branding.

After discussing the available options with his team, Adam choose solid natural oak posts along with angled cut post tops.

Kingdom Signs were then able to design and manufacture the systems which were then installed over a two day period.

“We all really love the signs and I have received very good feedback from people on the park”

The finished result is a beautiful natural looking finish, the solid oak posts will naturally weather to continually blend in with their new environment and in the future should the graphics or information  need updating the panels can be easily replaced.
