Mountain Mania is a specialist supplier of bicycles and accessories for people serious about mountain biking, road cycling and triathlons.
With four shops situated across Hertfordshire
and Oxfordshire and a recognisable brand already established, Jamie Lynn
(Mountain Mania’s owner and founder) wanted something special to mark the move
of one of his stores to larger premises in a more prominent location.
“I wanted a curved shop fascia, in a
painted matt finish and didn’t want any of the fixings on show. I’m as
serious about aesthetics as I am about bikes and my customers are the same – they come here
looking for functional equipment that’s beautifully designed. I wanted
the sign to be just that.”
With Jamie’s
requirements in mind we designed and fabricated a curved matt black fascia
(with fixings hidden on the returns at the top and bottom) and contrasted
this with the Mountain Mania logo applied in gloss orange cut vinyl.
The sign is true to Jamie’s vision and serves as a great piece of design that
we’re really proud of.
“I love the
finish. It’s stylish and incredibly high quality – and it helps to bring
customers in.”
We extended
this approach to the inside of the shop and based on Jamie’s specification
manufactured two dramatic acrylic panels with his logos decal cut and layered to
create truly eye catching pieces within the shop.
The brand has also been carried across to his
fleet of vans, which Jamie regularly refreshes to ensure he is at the forefront
of his customer’s mind, they include the logos of brands that he stocks and have
a reflective orange mountain bike graphic on the rear of the vehicles.
“It’s
created a stunning effect when my guys are on the road at night or in the
winter and truly outstanding when we attend shows and events it’s really getting the brand
noticed,” said Jamie, “people now see the black and orange and know it’s
us – it’s exactly what I wanted.”
All of this
is helping to cement Mountain Mania’s
position as a leading supplier of specialist equipment, whether in the
mountains, on the roads or in a van on the M4!
