Darbys is a large firm of solicitors based in central Oxford. Having just moved into prestigious new offices in a prime location, the Management Team wanted to ensure that the exterior of the building reflected their image as effectively as the newly refurbished interior.
We were contacted
by Operations Director, Paul Lowe who provided us with a brief to design and
install external signs that would clearly promote Darbys’ brand

values as well
as serving as a means to advertise their new location and pride in being an
Oxfordshire-based company.
During our
initial meeting Managing Partner, Simon McCrum, sketched how envisaged the new
signs would look. He wanted the company name which also forms the company logo
to be individually cut letters, in their very distinctive purple, illuminated
only at the face of the text then to be mounted direct onto the brick wall
fascia on all sides of the building and preferably with no exposed cables or
wires.
It was agreed
that this would deliver a look that was cleaner and more modern than a traditional
box sign.
Due to the
location of the building and visibility of the signs, planning permission was
required so we worked with Paul and his team to conduct appropriate surveys and
provide all of the relevant photographs, drawings, scales and details to
support the planning application.
Once planning
was approved we worked swiftly to install what has become a stunning addition
to the Darbys office. The finished
result means that the signs can be seen from the road, and in the dark, so even
in the depths of winter Darbys brand shines brightly.
“thank you for our wonderful
signs – don’t they look great!”
Simon
McCrum, Managing Partner
“Ros and her team met the brief
brilliantly and their help in the planning process was invaluable. I’d highly recommend them.”

Operations Director
